Welcome!

Working with me in four easy steps!

All of my sessions follow a simple four step process. I am here to help guide you through the whole process to ensure you get beautifully captured memories that you can proudly display in your home for years to come.

Step One.

The consultation. I always do a quick consultation with my clients. During the consultations we talk about what you want your portraits to capture. We also discuss what you would like to do with your images after the session. We will talk about the different types of wall art I offer. I will show you the memory boxes and custom albums. Together we will figure out what works best for your family and home.

At the consultation we will book your session and schedule your in home design meeting.

Step Two.

Let's talk design. After your consultation we will schedule a time for me to come by your home. I will take some design notes and look at your wall spaces.

We can measure walls and talk about collection designs. I can show you the product materials that will match your home decor. We will also talk about locations for your session that will add the right look and feel to your home. For example: If your dining room is bright and airy. A portrait of your family at the beach would look best and keep that bright feeling.

This design session also helps me know what to photograph the day of your portrait session. For Example, if you are thinking about a large canvas above your fireplace. I will make sure the composition of your portraits will look perfect in that space.

Step Three.

It's go time! Portrait session with me are fun and playful. Of course, I will be wearing a mask and keeping my distance. Keeping everyone safe and healthy always comes first. We will use a lot of movement in the session like walking, skipping or jumping (the kids do most of the jumping).

Memories are about emotions. My job is get those emotions out of you, onto my camera and memorialized forever as a photograph for you to enjoy. So, relax and let me guide you and your family in and out of the moments. Kids are crazy fun and dad's love "punny" jokes, I got this. It's what I was born to do.

After the photos are ready, I will create you a personalized online portrait gallery. I also like to do a little slide show for reveal and ordering appointments.

Step Four.

The reveal and ordering session. During this appointment we will go through your images. We will choose the ones that you love. Then together we will play around with all the ideas that we came up with when I was at your home for the design meeting. I am an expert when it comes to designing wall collections. We will mock up a few wall designs and play around with different sizes and looks for your home. You may choose from a mix of beautiful mounted prints, framed wall art, canvases, and metal prints. We can also design memory boxes and portrait albums that match your family's style. High resolution digital image collections are available, along with all the printed products. The amount you choose to invest is completely up to you; you only buy what you love. Most families invest between $500 and $2000 on a collection of their favorite artwork to display in their home.

FAQ

How do I book a photography session?

A.We can do a phone consultation, but I prefer to meet up in person at my studio to chat about the details of your session. I think it's important for us to get to know one another so I can get the best idea of the kind of images you are looking for in your session, find a good day and get your official photography session booked.

When is payment due?

A.The session fee of 250 is due at the time of your booking.

All session fees are complimentary with a purchase of a portrait collection. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

Any print order payments are due at the time of your order.

What form of payments do you accept?

A.I accept cash, local checks, PayPal and all major credit cards. (Sales Tax will apply to all payments)

How soon after our session will our portraits be avalible?

A.I may send you a few shots during the editing process, but sneak peeks on social media is not something I regularly do. Your images will be available 2 weeks after your session.

What happens if it rains on the day of my outdoor session?

A.In the event of rain during a scheduled outdoor session we will either utilize an indoor area, like my studio, or reschedule for a different date. You never know about the weather here in the Pacific Northwest, it's a good thing to have a back up plan and space!

Where do the Portrait sessions take place?

A.I have many favorite locations that I've scouted out and are perfect for a portrait session. For family and children portraits you can choose between studio, urban, country, your home or anything in between. Newborn sessions can take place in the comfort of your home or at my studio. Personal branding and head-shots can happen at your office, in my studio or the park next door. Tell me your ideas, I am always open to new locations, so dream big! If you have no ideas please ask me.

How long does a typical photography session last?

A.Typically sessions last between 1-2 hours. Newborn sessions will last much longer from 2-4 hours because we are running on baby time. I do offer mini sessions throughout the year and those last between 30-45 minutes.
