Step One.

The consultation. I always do a quick consultation with my clients to talk about what you want your portraits to capture and what you would like to do with your images after the session. Since COVID-19 has come into our lives, my consultations can be over the phone or Zoom. We will talk about the different types of wall art, boxes, and albums to figure out what works best for your family and home.

At the consultation we will formally book your session and schedule your in home design meeting.

Step Two.

Let's talk design. After your consultation we will schedule a time for me to come by your home to take some design notes and look at your wall spaces.

We can measure walls talk about collection designs and product materials that will match your homes colors and decor. We will also talk about locations for your session that will add the right look and feel to your home. If your dining room is bright and airy, maybe a portrait of your family at the beach would look best and keep that bright feeling.

This design session also helps me know what to photograph the day of your portrait session. For Example, if you are thinking about a large wall art piece, like a canvas above your fireplace, I will make sure the composition of your portraits are suited to be a large art piece that will look amazing over your fireplace while adding to the warm coziness of your space.

Step Three.

It's go time! Portrait session with me are fun and playful. Of course, I will be masked up and keeping my distance. Keeping everyone safe and healthy always comes first. we will use a lot of movement in the session like walking, skipping or jumping (the kids do most of the jumping). Memories are about emotions. My job is get those emotions out of you, onto my camera and memorialized forever as a photograph for you to enjoy. So, relax and let me guide you and your family in and out of the moments. Kids are crazy fun and dad's love "punny" jokes, I got this. It's what I was born to do.

After the photos are edited I will create you a personalized online portrait gallery along with a little slide show just in time for your reveal and ordering appointment.

Step Four.

The reveal and ordering session. During this appointment we will go through all your images, choose the ones that you love and together we will play around with all of the ideas that we came up with when I was at your home for the design meeting. I am an expert when it comes to designing wall collections. We will mock up a few wall designs and play around with different sizes and looks for your home. You may choose from a mix of beautiful mounted prints, framed wall art, canvases, and metal prints. We can also help you design memory boxes and portrait albums that perfectly match your family's style. High resolution digital image collections are available, along with all the printed products. The amount you choose to invest is completely up to you; you only buy what you love. Most families invest between $500 and $2000 on a collection of their favorite artwork to display and enjoy in their home.

Have a few Questions?

FAQ

How do I book a photography session?

A.I am super easy to get a hold of, you can give me a ring at 425.215.3303, send me an email at jackie@jphairowphotography.com. or fill out the contact form on the website. I even have drop-in hours at my studio so you can pop in for a visit Tuesday through Friday 11am to 4pm.

When is payment due?

A.The easy answer is that payments are due at the time of booking or ordering, but the amounts may vary.

A session fee of 250 is due at the time of your booking to hold your date and time in my calendar. Unless you are booking a portrait collection. The session fees are complimentary with all my portrait collections and a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your date and time.

Any of the archival wall art, albums, boxes or prints that you may order will require payment at the time of your order. I do offer payment plans, but the products will not be ordered until the last payment has been made.

What form of payments do you accept?

A.I love getting money, but who doesn't! I accept cash, local checks, PayPal and all major credit cards. (WA State Sales Tax will apply to all payments)

How soon after our session will our portraits be avalible?

A.I may send you a few shots during the editing process, but sneak peeks on social media is not something I regularly do. Your portraits will be available 2 weeks after your session.

What happens if it rains on the day of my outdoor session?

A.We do live in the PNW and so this is a popular question. In the event of rain during a scheduled outdoor session we will either utilize an indoor area, like my studio or reschedule for a different date. You never know about the weather so it's a good idea to have a back up plan if rescheduling is not an option.

Where do the Portrait sessions take place?

A.I have so many favorite locations that I've scouted out and deemed them worthy for a portrait session.

For family and children portraits you can choose between studio, urban, country, your home or anything in between. I have a great list in my Welcome guide that we can go over.

Newborn sessions can take place in the comfort of your home or at my studio with all of my props.

Personal branding and head-shots can happen at your office, in my studio or at the park next door.

Got your own ideas, go ahead and tell me them all. I am always open to checking out new locations, so dream big!

How long does a typical photography session last?

A.Typically sessions last anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. I book only one session a day to ensure we have plenty of time. I don't want the time we spend together to feel rushed so it lasts as long as it needs too.

Newborn sessions will last much longer from 2-6 hours because we are running on baby time, but just like all my portrait sessions there is no rush and if your newborn sleeps like a champ it can fly by fast.
